Get Intimate with the Queen City Of the South

Liloan Surprises!

One of the amazing things about Cebu is that although it is too small (it’s even smaller than a dot on the world map,) it is packed with so much good stuff. Everything that you can think of is right here. And just when you thought that you’ve seen it all, you find out that you haven’t actually seen anything yet.

Just last Saturday, I got the chance to visit one of the most awesome places in Cebu right now. I went there expecting very little. Well, I’ve been to Liloan a gazillion times and I’m sure that I’ve seen almost all interesting parts of it. But I guess I have the right to change my mind, right? Hehehe. Well, I was just a little surprised! Okay, I was shocked! I didn’t expect that Liloan could pull out something as surprising as this! Well, enough of this nonsense! On with the photos! Haha!

Papa Kit’s Marina and Fishing Lagoon. One word: FANTABULOUS!

Papa Kit’s Marina and Fishing Lagoon is a wonderful adventure park is Silot Bay, Liloan, Cebu. If you’re driving up north via the North National Highway, you turn right once you reach the Liloan Church. Keep driving for a few meters until you see a sign. You can’t miss it. If by chance you can already see the Catarman bridge, then, you’ve missed it. Hahahaha. If you’re driving via the Cansaga Bay bridge, just keep driving towards the direction of the Liloan Church. Immediately after crossing the Catarman Bridge, pay close attention to the signs on the roadside. If you can see the main highway and the church, then you’ve missed it. Hahahaha.

Ticket per head: 100 pesos. The rate is consumable, though. Which is awesome! That means you can check out their restaurant and eat everthing that totals to a hundred bucks. If you are too hungry, you can order more stuff and pay for them. They have three restaurants inside the huge huge compound. So, you can choose.

We picked this one because it is closest to the main gate and because we didn’t know where the other restaurants were. Hahaha. This restaurant, by the way, is right smack in the middle of a huge pond. Awesome!

They serve yummy food. Here’s a nice-looking guso, for example.

This set with fried bangus with achara, rice, and a bottle of soda costs 100 pesos. So, you pay 100 pesos to get into this nice compound and you get a full meal as well. Not bad, right?

Grilled chicken with rice, soda, and achara for 100 pesos.

View of the ‘fishing huts’ from the restaurant.

Walkway to smaller fishing huts. Doesn’t this look exciting and adventurous?

A huge huge pond!

A small pond filled with small fish. Cool!

Doesn’t this look gorgeous?

Yes. That’s a huge bird right there. Just imagine I was using a high-powered lens and you can see the details of the bird. Hahaha.

Another huge pond in the compound. I think I saw more than 6 ponds in the area. Amazing.

Looking really nice.

View from one of the fishing huts. Lovely.

I’m not sure exactly what this little thing is for. Hehe.

Kids excited for their first catch.

More kids patiently waiting for that one unlucky fish. Haha.

More fishing huts. Wow! Lovely view.

A huge restaurant still being constructed. It’s going to look fabulous!

Next, we decided to check out their zipline facility. Here are some girls waiting for their turn.

The launch tower. Pretty tall. Hehe.

Excited korean zipliners. Hehe.

More zipliners!

If I am not mistaken, it is currently the longest zipline in Cebu. 800 meters, baby!

That right there could be Cebu’s answer to Camarines Sur’s watersports facility.

Souvenir shop!

Picnic tables at only P50. Not bad!

A newly finished project separating two ponds. Nice.

No fishing in this area.

View of Silot Bay. Awesome!

To the second restaurant.

View of Catarman Bridge. Wow.

Nice walkway and a view of the launch tower. Nice.

Boats for rent.

A nice looking beach house. Wow.

Zipliners sailing over the water. Wow.

Fish farms! Can you see the Lapu-Lapus?

These dudes were huge! They were more than a meter long. Seriously!

Birds keeping a watchful eye on them fishies. Hehe.

Bamboo walkway and the second restaurant.

Boats for rent!

Rental rates!

More boats for rent!

How much would they charge you for the zipline? The prices for the boat and table rentals are not bad. Compared to other resorts this is a good deal. With all these pictures I can say that this resort is really big.

    Pwede ba mag overnight dito?

Went there last April. I really enjoyed my visit there. I didn’t know they had three restaurants. I especially liked the zipline. It was a totally new experience since it was an inter island zipline.hehehe Very detailed and useful review of the place. I will probably visit the place again next year. Excellent blog by the way.
