The Mañanita Mass at the Basilica starts at 4 am. Although it’s too early for a mass, people start flocking towards the Basilica as early as ten in the evening. At around midnight, the church is so jam-packed you couldn’t find Dumbo in the crowd.
Note: If you join the Mañanita the next time, make sure to buy a balloon. Also, write a short letter to the Nino. Then, tie it to the balloon. As soon as the Bato Balani is sung, let go of the balloon while waving your hand in exultation to the Niño. I swear, you’ll get goosebumps as thousands other let go of their balloons.

Indeed, I would agree with you, that the very moment the Batobalani is being sung and balloons are released as an offering by the devotees, along with their fervent prayers and petitions, there is this very awesome, magical, and heavenly feeling that you will experience! One can only say that God is real in the form of a loving and very cute, STO. NINO!
How I wish that everyone will be given the chance to experience this very spiritually uplifting event.

yup. early sunday morning. make sure you remember the streets which are kept open to traffic kay around 6 am [around that time mahuman ang mass] magsugod na ug formation uban contingents and closed to traffic na uban streets].
mass usually starts at 4:00 am. but be there as early as 12 midnight or even 10 PM kay daghan kaayo taw…
