I’m proud not only as a Filipino, but a World Class Cebuano. The most wonderful invent happens every year is the Sinulog Festival. Many cebuano catholics believed that Asean summit’s success, peaceful Cebu, and no ing is because of “Sto. Niño de Cebu or the “Holy Child” presence.

IM SOOOO EXCITED…IF GOD PERMITS , I WILL BE HOME FOR SINULOG 2009!!!! CEBU HERE I COME!!! ( i know its a ways but im just soooooo excited i cannot wait to see my mama and my lil sisters na mga badlungon that i love to death and specially the food!!! )

This year will be our first visit to Cebu and we happen to arrive on 12 Jan. Know absolutely NOTHING about the Sinulog festival. We will be staying at either the Apple Tree Suites or Mango Park. Will we be near any of the activities at either of these hotels?

I happened across MCPB to day and am very glad I did! I hope you don’t mind me writing to u. My husband and I will be making our first trip to Cebu City in January. We arrive on 12 January. We know nothing about the Sinulog festival so did not know that we would be arriving in time to be there during the festival.
We will be staying at either the Apple Tree Suites or Mango Park Hotel. What is the best way for us to enjoy the festival from 12 Jan to 17 Jan. I am not sure if I am asking the right questions, since this is our first trip to the Philippines and we really don’t know anyone there. We wanted to travel to the Philippines and were told that Cebu City is a great place

Pit Senyor nisyagit kog kusog!!!! kakamiss ang cnulog sa cebu :) , kanusa napod kaha ko maka attend ug cnulog ay. the last i attend cnulog it was 1999 pa wahhhhhhh ang tagal na ano? pit senyor nalng sa inyong lahat by d year 2009 mwahhhhhh… sa march lang ang uwi ko eh :( ,kaya di parin makakita sa cnulog… miss you all my family out there fr.switzerland here

I’m happy kasi maka attend ako sa sinulog 2009, that’s my wish. so thank’s so much sa Sr. Sto. Nino na binigay niya s akin ang wisch ko. ang sarap kasi ng pakiramdam na makasama ako doon sa celebration. At makasama ko rin ang mga pamilya ko miss na miss ko na rin cla. i hope n makauwi din kayo, lalo na yong mga malayo, para mararamdaman din ninyo ang saya2 doon lalo n kasama ninyo ang mga mahal ninyo s buhay. im proud to be a cebuana. fr. germany

@ Barbara i recommend Rajah park Hotel, its opposite the Fuente Osmena Circle, where there are nightly shows. But if the Sinulog Parade pass by at Mango Park Hotel, maybe worth watching there. Just last January is my first Cebu Sinulog experience. Eventhough i bought the expensive ticket, there settings are no good. So i will not recommend you to watch Sinulog at the Cebu Sports Complex. Unless your setting in the red stairs (official only) if you know someone to let you in there. Im had the white ticket.
As we passed by at Crown Regency Hotel and Towers, they had a balcony for thier customers to watch the parade, w/c is very good view.
Sinulog time the City is very crowded. So be careful with your handbag and personal belongings. Anyway my mother lives in Carmen, 41km north of the city maybe 1 and half hr. travel time. If you need help or wants to know more about Cebu, you can talk to my niece once you are there and she can give you idea.

For me the Sinulog Festival is the most memorable celebration happened in the whole world. 4 years ago i always attend the flubial parade to the ocean which is a million of people watching, the Image of Snr.Sto Nino he look so happy with around the very pretty flowers, once you joining those parade you will addicted to see it again, and again. i had such a wonderful feelings, you cant explain yourself how you feel.
