Angayan man sad jud tong lead dancer sa Poblacion, guapa og maayo musayaw.. Smiling kaayo!

OSLOB!!!!!!!!!!!!! VIVA
Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort is located on tranquil Sumilon Island. The Island remains as one of Cebu’s best kept secrets and is found on the southeastern tip of the mainland. It is 125 kilometers from Cebu City and is in close proximity to Dumaguete. The island has an area of 24 hectares and is surrounded by crystal clear waters with varying aquamarine hues. It is the first marine protected area in the Philippines and was made a fish sanctuary in 1974 under the guidance of Siliman University Marine Reserve. During dives, one will find varied marine species and even occasional sightings of black tip sharks. Pristine white sand beaches are situated in different areas in Sumilon.
Its Sandbar is well known for its changing shapes and shifting locations around the island, depending on the season. On the island, there is a natural lagoon teeming with high mangroves. There are also natural caves where fishermen used to seek refuge. On the southside, a lighthouse rests on a protected tree park. Beside it is a “Baluarte”, a historical watchtower built as part of a warning system to thwart slavers and marauders in the 19th century.

I was in oslob last fiesta dec 8 2007. aligre man, especially sa sadsad 2007. at least changes happened this time…pero medyo ning talagsa ra ta maka-pauli ug fiesta tungod kay naa ta sa ubang nasod magtrabaho, morag maglisod na gyud ta ug “ride on” sa mga style sa ato..medyo nangadagko na ang mga bata sa una…labi na sa amo sa Lagunde, daghan ng mga bag-ong tubo..anyway..

Its in preparation t the grand homecoming slated about the same time next year so people better fix your schedules to cathc up on this…Second the much anticipated OSLOB DIVA 2007 will have its 6th year of competition. It will be staged on the 29th of December with a fabulous line up of competition. If you were enthralled by the Ms. Oslob Tourism which happens to be the brainchild of the same people organizing the OSLOB DIVA then youll be in for a lot of surprises…The show is about to unfold….so watch out for this…pictures coming up….

We used to come to Oslob during fiesta and summer. its such a nice place with white beaches.I had observed that the people here are religious, peace loving and cooperatives. They dont hesitate to help those who need.

it’s really sad to hear na nasunog ang atong simbahan… just read it from local newspaper (sunstar, freeman) and what bothers me that it could been saved or at least di ma-apil ang simbahan if our 2 firetrucks are working. another traits from pinoy na “not prepared” and looking for someone as scapegoat.
let’s forgot about the issue… hopefully all sectors of government and the church group will work hand-in-hand to restore and rebuild the structure.

my dad’s from oslob too!! sayang the church got caught up with fire. but it still looks nice without the roof and all. the sky is so visible.hehe the convent was really nice too. the floor was always shiny and the roof was what they call “tisa” made. i slept there for 4 days in the convent. our house is just a walking distance from the church..n_n i like your cow and your photos…
no more quartel naman..it’s closed because of money issues..lagunde is the nearest place you can stay nga mga lounges jud. although there are a few resthouses you can inquire just a few meters away from its poblacion. we have a few family friends there who offer cottages and all

The Fiesta was very amazing. Mas daghang tawo kesa last year.
Super impressed with what the local government unit did to boost this year’s fiesta celebration. Also to the Parish Priest, Kudos to you Fr. Val! Daghang improvements, especially to the simbahan. I’m so happy nga maka-simba na jud intawn ming mga Oslobanon inside the church. The development was so fast. In a matter of 8 months, naa nay atop.
Grabe! the new Toslob Festival was a very good event. Exposed the culture of the Oslobanons. Kudos Mayor! As in, wala koy nakita nga contingent nga bati. Puro nindot kaso, naa baya ju’y “pinaka-nindot”… Congratulations Caceres for winning! Congratz to Lagunde for garnering almost all the awards! I was so happy to see the people so happy wand merry this fiesta.
I hope nga ikapambato na nato ang Toslob Festival sa Pasigarbo… Basin makadaog na jus ta this time around… Bati man gud to ang Sadsad gud…
