i’ve been to this place late Dec of last yr. . . did not quite appreciate the seashore. the rocks hurts your feet and the sands are black. my son complaint and that’s why i brought him to Moalboal the next week. is this place the one close to the spring, Ley?
i’m not sure pud sir. I’ve never been there. but i think molobolo spring imong pasabot.

you are right, Ley- the place is called Molobolo. . We did not plan to go to Tuburan (quite a long journey). We were just ’sabit’. That trip was organized by some Mabolo residents-they hired 3 Kaoshiung buses for a trip to Tuburan. It so happened that my sis office mate (ex-bgy councillor) arranged one of the buses and there goes the story. .

Maayong adlaw nimo dong Leyland. Thank you so much for posting my hometown Tuburan. Molobolo is such a wonderful place for me. Each time my italian hubby and I come home we don’t miss the swimming sessions during high tide at the Molobolo beach. We like it there very much especially during weekdays, nobody goes there and really different from the chaotic italian beaches during summer. Of course one must wear some beach shoes to prevent their feet from being hurt…but I must say for me it’s really my paradise.

hello, tuburanons!
yup, tuburan is a beautiful place with a very rich heritage. i didn’t have the chance to grow up in this wonderful town but the summers i spent at my lolo glicerio and lola aldang’s house left me great memories…
that is probably why i feel so sad seeing it heading towards moral decay nowadays. and the pantalan which used to be such a nice place to watch the sunset and bring along friends is now a very dirty place. there was even a time it was the lair of prostitutes because of the sabak2. paet!!!
anyway, true! we should unite ourselves and work towards real CHANGE. di man ta mailad. but daghang pang mga mabaw ug huna2 who still sell their votes. so, let’s ALL help in convincing the others that it will only be for our detriment if they fall into the trap of the Suezos and their cohorts… (according to one councilor nila, kwarta ra daw ang katapat sa mga Tuburanons…isn’t that an insult?).
by the way, a bunch of concerned Tuburanons from all walks of life are forming a movement called the Tuburan for Progress Movement soon. in case anyone here wants to join in the Cause for Change, you’re most welcome to be a member.
hey, ley, lemme just compliment you on the great photography! sayang wala’y cozy kapihan sa tuburan (another sad thing!), maka-meet and talk unta ta with other tuburanons and talk about how to improve this town….
kudos also for coming up with this blog! at least people can vent their views and comments here and meet other Tuburanons.

You can count me in this movement. But I hope you’ll understand if am not going to reveal my identity as my family might be in trouble. Yet don’t call me a coward, we are just not into politics and most importantly, I am just protecting the welfare of my family back home. I am the breadwinner in the family, nagdako ko sa grabeng kalisod ug dili nako gustong mapakgang ang akong nasugdang pag-usab sa among kinabuhi mainly due to politics. Rest assured nga ang akong pamilya won’t be bought during election as we have been like that eversince. Although, I dont want to be hypocrite to tell you that we received whatever politicians gave monetarily but it did not matter to whom we vote for. This time, ako ug ang akong pamilya will be silently supporting your cause and most importantly, I will make it sure that you will be one of their picks come election day. Don’t worry, in time I will reveal myself to you and I promise to be working with you hand in hand while am around.
By the way, I seem to have not familiarized you. From which Barangay are you? I do hope to have your response. Thanks and take care.

i am the pilot of that plane that was flying over tuburan so many years ago. i have heard how people reacted when i made those low level passes. most of them were funny. i would like to find out what you experienced if you were there on those days. i am also from tuburan and a descendant of the tabotabos.

ako pud taga tuburan.. mingaw na ko kaayo sa cebu/tuburan bisan puhon next year kauli ko.. didto me nag dako sa molobolo spring..ug sa KUGON duna pud spring duol sa school(elementary) didto me pud maligo after school kung high tide.. i missed that.. those were the things we do on my childhood days..

I’m a worker in Capitol, I know you, I am very dissapointed in you telling stories to people on this site about how bad the town is when it is not true and worst your allegations to the town officials are serious. Can you support this? Are you going to stand by your allegations that the Suezo’s are drug pushers? I understand that you succeded your husband as Councilor in Tuburan after he run out of term(3 consecutive terms).
And before you condem this people who do you think will run your town best. Tell us your preference, who they are, what they do, and most of all what can you do to make your town better.
I have questions for you;
Is it not true that your enjoying financial assistance of politicians who are running against the present administration?
Is it not true that your Barangay Captain-husband recieved financial aid from the same with a staggering amount of Php 1.8 million from the province’s tax payers money in a short duration of less than a year? Which is 3 times more than the Barangay’s annual Internal Revenue Allotment(IRA).
A piece of advice Professor Tabotabo, refrain from using this site of your Political Ambition and personal interest/s, by poisoning the mind of the people of your concocted stories. Maybe your jealosy to this people has driven you to commit “MORTAL SINS”,like the Ninth Commandment, and let me refresh your memory then, just incase- “YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST YOUR NEIGHBOR”.
