I’ve seen many wonderful photos of Jones Avenue. However, I don’t have any idea how the photographers were able to get such awesome aerial shots. I mean, I have seen amateur shots and they too, were taken from some place really high with a really good view of the city. I’m sure the photographers didn’t get on helicopters or something. LOL. Recently, I discovered that GV Tower Hotel, a relatively new hotel beside the University of Cebu downtown, has a restaurant on the 7th floor. So I wasted no time and went there yesterday to find out if I could take a good shot of Jones Avenue.

Awesome view! That’s why Cebu City is the #1 city in the Philippines. Skyscrapers add beauty, & it will protect people from being hit by vehicles.
I remember Luym Bldg. very well; my late brother, Jingga, used to work at the revolving restaurant as a singer. Great shots, Ley!

I’d like to commend you for this. Please preserve the shots. In a few years time, it will be a good puzzle for ‘Spot the Changes’ with all the new buildings then.
How I wish there are still copies of pictures of the White Gold House in front of LuYm Bldg. the SSS in Jones Ave, the old GSIS in Leon Kilat, the ABS-CBN in P.del Rosario and other no longer existing landmarks.
