CARCAR is a municipality-recently-turned-city-then-turned-municipality about 60kms South of Cebu. Carcar is a booming district during the Spanish era which explains why its streets are filled with Spanish Architecture. Carcar is known for sweets like Bucarillo and tasty snacks like Ampao and Chicharon. Carcar is also known as the Shoe Capital of Cebu.

Bai, question lang, nakabantay ka’g pantalan sa carcar? nakabantay man gud ko pag-agi sa akong gisakyan nga ceres ug tanker nga barko wala pa mi kaabot sa town proper.
Thanks bai! And impressive pictures!
Im not quite sure bai but I don’t think naay pantalan ang carcar. Are you referring to the tankers nga makita when you reach the end of San Fernando? Murag naa man tingali dungguanan diha pero wala gyuy pang commercial sea travel nga boats.

The Internet has brought the world of shopping to the fingertips of just about everyone. Long gone are the days of
driving from shop to shop, wasting precious time and petrol just to find that one particular item you’ve been searching
for in the size you need. In this case, we’re referring to shoes.
I’m happy to know that Carcar and Talisay are the new cities of Cebu. That’s a wonderful news! I miss Carcar, I used to go there a lot. I have relatives & friends living there. Thanx for the pix!
So nice of you to value and appreciate the nice things around you, and you’re so blessed with wonderful words to best describe stuffs. I was born and raised in Carcar, lived there for a long time, but I haven’t got the chance to take pictures of the Rotunda, not even visited that place where the big shoe is. Is Carcar actually a city now? or gi planohan pa lang? Thanks also for the info and detailed review on Golden Cowrie. I got into your website looking for the best place to eat Filipino dishes, we’ll give it a try.
